Mineral Filler

With aging, structural elements such as elastin and collagen fibers in the connective tissue of our faces undergo degradation and loss, fat pads shrink, resulting in sagging downwards, and our facial bones experience resorption and retractions. These changes lead to wrinkles, sagging, and volume loss.

The aim of our filler applications is to restore the wrinkles, sagging, and volume loss caused by these losses. In addition to hyaluronic acid fillers, which are commonly used for this purpose, mineral fillers containing CaHA (calcium hydroxyapatite), which also stimulate the decreased collagen and elastin in the skin, are used. The aim of using mineral fillers is to provide volume to the face while also improving skin quality and firmness by stimulating collagen and elastin production in the skin.

What is Mineral Filler?

Mineral filler is a type of filler containing calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microparticles in a carrier gel that stimulates collagen synthesis. Its structural properties are similar to calcium found in our bones and teeth, making it highly compatible with human tissue.

How Does Mineral Filler Work?

Mineral filler contains 70% carrier gel and 30% CaHA microparticles. While the carrier gel responsible for the initial volume effect completely dissolves within 2-3 months, the active ingredient, CaHA microparticles, begin to emerge. These microparticles stimulate collagen synthesis in the applied area, resulting in the production of new natural collagen and thus providing a natural volumizing effect.

What is Mineral Filler Used For?

Mineral filler can be used for filling wrinkles and grooves, facial shaping, volumizing, reducing sagging, and lifting, similar to other fillers. Additionally, due to its biostimulant properties, mineral filler can also be applied for skin rejuvenation purposes, improving skin quality.

Where Can Mineral Filler Be Used?

Mineral filler can be used for volumizing, filling wrinkles, and lifting in every part of the face, except for the lips and area around the lips, including the cheek, under-eye, and eye areas.

How is Mineral Filler Applied?

The application area can be numbed with local anesthetic creams to reduce pain and discomfort. Then, like other fillers, the filler procedure is performed using needles or cannulas.

When is the Effect of Mineral Filler Noticed?

An increase in volume is noticed immediately after the application, but the desired natural volume increase and improvement in skin quality begin around the 2nd month and continue to increase for several months.

What is the Duration of Effect of Mineral Filler?

The duration of the effect varies from person to person but is typically around 1-1.5 years.

What is Mineral Injection?

Mineral injection involves administering mineral filler diluted to a greater extent into the skin, similar to mesotherapy, to promote skin renewal and increase collagen. It is typically used on the face, neck, and décolleté areas.

What are the Side Effects of Mineral Filler?

After mineral filler application, bruising, sensitivity, slight redness, and swelling may occur in the application areas. These symptoms generally disappear within a few days.

What Precautions Should Be Taken Before and After Mineral Filler?

To reduce the risk of bruising during the procedure, it is recommended not to use painkillers, aspirin, blood thinners, green tea, and echinacea or other herbs 5-7 days before the procedure.

Strenuous exercise is not recommended on the day of the procedure. Avoid vigorous massage on the application area. To prevent infection after the application, it is not recommended to shower, wash your face, use sauna, steam room, pool, or apply makeup on the same day.
